Wedding Rental Rates
Whatever your event, the UBC Boathouse is the perfect place! These dates are effective until Dec 31, 2026.
The UBC Boathouse reserves the right to change rental rates or season packages at any time.
The UBC Boathouse reserves the right to restrict start and end times of events in order to accommodate full event bookings. Time for vendor set-up and takedown is required as part of the rental block. Vendor set-up requires two hours prior to guest arrival; vendor takedown requires one hour after guest departure.

Additional hours beyond the 8 hour rate are charged at $150 per hour.
Firm bookings require a non-refundable and non-transferable deposit of $1500 for Monday-Thursday bookings and $2500 for Friday-Sunday bookings. Full payment of the outstanding balance is due 60 days prior to the rental date.

Includes one full set-up and one full take-down of all facility tables and chairs and removal of garbage and recycling. This set-up and take-down are done outside of the rental block time. |

Special Event Insurance |

Varies based on the number of guests and whether alcohol is being served. This insurance is required. A quote from our insurance provider will be included within your venue contract. You are welcome to book insurance through us or through your own insurance provider. Should you book it on your own, we require a copy of it no later than 30 days in advance in order to waive the quoted policy. |

Statutory Holiday, Long Weekend & Special Date Rates
- Statutory holidays are booked at the Friday-Sunday rate of said season.
- Weekdays that fall directly prior to a statutory holiday are booked at the Friday-Sunday rate
- Special dates including, but not limited to, December 31 are booked at the peak Friday-Sunday rate
Dock Reservations
As a fully floating venue, the lower docks provide a unique on water space for an outdoor ceremony and/or cocktail hour.
The docks are complimentary within your event hall rental; however, the docks are a public space that are shared with registered rowing and paddling programs. Ceremony and cocktail receptions will be approved around practice and program schedules, 4 months prior to your event date. Please seek written approval for your desired ceremony and/or cocktail hour time 4 months prior to your event (and before you print and send your guest invitations). You may request the historical schedule to obtain idea for your desired date.
The dock is not available for events November-February.
