Celebrate a Special Life at a Unique Venue
Venue Package Rate: $3,000 All-Inclusive Event Hall Rental
The UBC Boathouse offers a Celebration of Life Package that will help you coordinate the perfect farewell at a unique venue.
Package Inclusions:
- 8 hour time block rental (additional hours may be added for $100/hour)
- Any day of the week, depending on availability
- All venue products (venue tables, chairs, projector, screen, microphone, Smart TV)
- All setup and takedown of venue products plus the janitorial services including recycling/garbage removal
- Event attendant on-site for the duration of your event
Additional Fees
Below are additional fees that may apply:

| SOCAN & RESOUND Tariff | $46 | Federally mandated tariff for any event with music. $44 for music only, $92 for music and dancing. See FAQs for explanation on this fee. |
| Special Event Insurance | Varies | You are welcome to simply book that insurance through us or through your own insurance provider. Should you book it on your own, we require a copy of it no later than 30 days in advance in order to waive the quoted policy. |
| Taxes | GST | Based on the current tax structure that is in place at time payment is due. |
| Galley Fee | $1000 | This fee is waived if you book with a preferred catering vendor. |
| Refundable Damage Deposit | $1000 | Damage deposit is due at time of full payment. It is fully refunded after your event unless damage or other violations have occurred. |
