Pricing: $600 / $1200

The UBC Boathouse is offering an Elopement Package for couples to have an intimate ceremony on our dock for up to 25 of your closest family & friends. The Elopement Package is available to book until September 2020.

Our Ceremony Only Package – $600:

  • 2 Hour Booking
    • 1 hour total for load in and load out
    • 30 min Ceremony
    • 30 min Photography
  • Includes
    • Venue Coordinator onsite throughout
    • White ceremony chairs
    • Signing table & welcome table (with white linens)
    • Decorative ceremony arch
    • Decor for aisle & welcome table
    • Hand sanitizer stations
    • Personalized social distancing floor plans

Our Ceremony & Cocktail Hour Package – $1200:

  • 3 hour booking
    • 1 hour total for load in and load out
    • 30 min Ceremony
    • 1.5 hour Cocktail hour & Photography
  • Includes
    • Venue Coordinator onsite throughout
    • White ceremony chairs
    • Signing table & welcome table
    • Cocktail tables and tables for bar
    • White linens for tables & bar
    • Decorative ceremony arch
    • Decor for aisle & welcome table
    • Hand sanitizer stations
    • Personalized social distancing floor plans

Plan B (due to weather) is that both the Ceremony Only and Ceremony with Cocktail Hour packages can be safely provided in our event hall.

Micro Weddings

Pricing: 20% Off Regular Event Rates

The UBC Boathouse is offering Micro Weddings for couples looking to have an intimate ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for up to 25 of your closest family & friends. This package includes the use of the dock space, event hall & patio. Micro Weddings are available to book until December 2020.

  • Minimum 5 Hour Booking
    • Load in time (recommended 2 hours)
    • Ceremony and cocktail hour on the dock or indoors
    • Reception dinner in the event hall
    • Tear down time (recommended 1 hour)
  • Includes
    • Venue Coordinator onsite throughout
    • White ceremony and reception chairs and tables
    • Hand sanitizer stations
    • Personalized social distancing floor plans
    • All inclusions above will be set up before your rental block and taken down afterwards

8 Hour Event Rental Rates

The UBC Boathouse reserves the right to restrict start and end times of events in order to accommodate full event bookings.

Additional hours exceeding an 8 hour time block will be billed at $150 per hour.

5 Hour Event Rental Rates

The UBC Boathouse reserves the right to restrict start and end times of events in order to accommodate full event bookings.

Additional hours exceeding a 5 hour time block will be billed at $200 per hour.

Additional Fees

Below are additional fees that may apply:

SOCAN & RESOUND Tariff $46 Federally mandated tariff for any event with music. $46 for music only.
Special Event Insurance Varies You are welcome to simply book that insurance through us or through your own insurance provider. Should you book it on your own, we require a copy of it no later than 30 days in advance in order to waive the quoted policy.
Taxes 5% GST Based on the current tax structure that is in place at time payment is due.
Refundable Damage Deposit $600 Damage deposit is due at time of full payment. It is fully refunded after your event unless damage or other violations have occurred.

COVID-19 Safety Information

  • We offer hand sanitization stations at each entrance door and throughout the building.
  • Directional and social distancing signage will be in place to ensure social distancing.
  • The venue is fully cleaned and surfaces sanitized between all bookings.
  • Hand-designed floorplans with social distancing in mind (6 feet/2 meters) have been crafted for ceremony & cocktail hour.
  • If any guests have travelled outside of Canada within the previous 14 days of your event, or are ill, or experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19, we ask that they please stay home.
